Sharing tracks & waypoints

If you've been somewhere interesting & want to share the tracklog or waypoints with others feel free to post them here. If you can add some words describing the trip, even better !

The data will also be used to improve the Wanderlust Worldmap. A GPS thats actually *been there* can record superb data, which is just what the project needs.

A few words of caution :-

Not all waypoints should be shared, for example :-

- 'where grandma buries her money' (she wont thank you for that)
- 'girlfriends houses' (it would be a shame if they met!)

PLEASE dont post anything that's copyright !

If you do post 'something you found on the net', make sure the owner of the data gave their permission and make sure you give credit to them. If in doubt, ask.

If you find your data on here and *didnt* give permission, please let me know and I'll make sure they're removed.

Confirmed gas/petrol stations on the overland from Maroc to Mali via Mauretanie's not-so-aptly-named Route d'Espoir. The GPS tracks I have mapped on http://www.openstreetmap.org. Anyone who uses a GPS in Africa ought to consider/update those maps as they can be loaded freely into a GPS and tend to be accurate (much more so than the standard Garmin base map, for one).

I used the Smelly bikers waypoints with good effect when we stranded a few miles before a gas station I had on the GPS, recommended.
